Check your farms. I had a chinchilla from awhile back that were gifts or something.. Anyways I had so many that when this quest came up I didn't even have to wait for the gifted chinchilla to harvest!! Look around. You may just have one sitting around! Good Luck!!
There's a problem with this quest because some of us haven't received our Chinchillas! I emailed Zynga's customers and they gave me 2 chinchillas this morning.....I wasn't pleased with that b'coz the missing chinchillas have slowed my quest/game down. I replied and asked for a better compesantion...I am yet to hear from them.

Also had chinchillas on my farm, but none have reached harvest after 2 days.......still waiting.

It is taking forever to get the chinchilla to harvest....
The chinchilla's will harvest faster if u put them in the wildlife habitat.... will take 1 day....
the chinchilla part was removed in my quests :DD
