I thought it was supposed to be free to play??? How can we play to the fullest if we have to pay. Sure has changed a lot since I first started almost two years ago. Makes me sad :(
I agree with the above, I haven't been playing 12 months yet and it really has changed, it's not so much fun and there so many interuptions when harvesting it is really annoying and having to pay will mean a lot of people will not be able to do the quests
I agree and I am about ready to move on to a different game and drop farmville. Getting very annoying. I'm trying to live on disability and can't afford to pay for all that extra stuff.
I accidently hit the purchase lighthouse for 55 fc cuz i didnt read it i got to excited when i saw it but it says that after the 19 its gonna be free but if u wanna go now u can buy it n get the vip ticket... it doesnt make any difference i think ur just gonna have a lead on everyone else but thats all...
I purchased it at 55 FV dollars because even though it is to be released for free on 19th September, I go on holiday in the early hours of the 20th and did not want to fall a week behind. Even though I thought I could get well ahead this week I cant' because it is a 12 x 12 grid, and you cannot plant more than 35 plots, you have to buy an expansion of 14 x 14 in order to plant more and then you are only given 60 plots, the expansion is 30 FV dollars, and later in the quests you need to plant 90 of one crop, which really you need to purchase the next expansion 16 x 16 at 40 FV dollars to achieve this unless you plant twice. No doubt these early expansions will become free, but I'm not buying, I'm not spending more money, I think all the expansion should be available for coins. Then some of the quests require you make new recipes in the resturant but you are only given 2 tables you have to level up the resturant to be able to get more, plus unless a lot of your friends and neighbours have already purchased the cove, you cannot get the bushels needed, as you can't grow those crops on your 2 main farms. Yes there is a lot of drawbacks with buying it before general release.
I positively will NOT buy FV cash!!!!. It is not that I can't afford to it is the principle of the thing that I have been playing for 2 years and haven't paid yet and will not now. If it means I don't go to the cove then I won't go. They should have stuck to the plan of ending the farm at level 100 and then you could have sold out and moved to England. From that point you could have had a vacation spot at the cove. Not having a goal kind of takes out the incentive to stay with it. They have made it so much work and time consuming it is not near as much fun as it use to be and it leaves little time to chat and interact with Farmville neighbors.
I did not purchase early access to the Cove.I went in on the 19th like everyone else that couldn't buy into it.I am also doing the Bonus Challenges.I do not spend real money to play this game.So how am I going to purchase the Coastal Patch.

I believe the Bonus Challenges are available only to those who purchase access to Lighthouse Cove.
Yes Farmville is getting very greedy and unfriendly to the players that won't spend real money to play. It is sad :(

I haven't even got a pet run on my cove, i have orchard and wildlife habitat.
