The trees are going up in price (many from 5 FC to 7 FC--NOT happy). And each theme that they release has fewer and fewer (sometimes NO) items for coins. I buy trees ONLY, and I only buy two of each on the first day they're relased. I'm done with everything else.

it's not facebook making the money. it's Zynga. they are a business. so they're going to be greedy. not everything in this world is free. most of the game is free to play. and to keep it going for us, they have to charge for some things. it sucks big time, but it's the truth; and necessary. otherwise the game/s will vanish. and boycotting buying things won't change anything. they'll simply shut down the games for lack of support.

The only way they can keep the site free and running is to use the FV money. People that are actually addicted will pay for it and that is the way they make their money. I know it makes me mad too because there is a lot I wish I could get but don't have the FV bucks. Guess it's a catch 22, we either pay for the site to keep it up and running or we get it free and lose out on things that require FV bucks. :(

I've been playing FV for over two years. My 16 yr-old and I both play daily. It's our favorite game on FB and always has been. BUT, we also play all of the Zynga games here and there, except Vapmire Wars. I ABSOLUTELY agree with many of you. I'm seeing a pattern in all the games that's not making me very hopeful that they will lesson the hunger for more money being spent. However, when the games first started, the good items WERE for "coins or cash" and they changed it. I used to buy my daughter cards every week so we could get something we really liked, as i am a single mom and its a lot cheaper than a lot of the alternative entertainments. I always spent mine on horses or trees so that i could produce foals or grow seeds to gift to my other friends, who could not afford things. BUT IT IS NOW SO OUTRAGEOUS THAT I CANNOT EVEN DO SOMETHING TO HELP MY FRIENDS?!? SOOO..I REFUSE TO BUY ANY AT ALL AND SO DOES MY DAUGHTER!!! It saddens me that some of you don't see that they ALSO GET PAID every time u log in, every time u send a gift, per amount of hours u spend...they don't NEED the FV money to go up because when it was low, the user ratings were very high! They've LOST money from the jacking of prices and the loss of quality in the game!! Farmville has gotten very greedy!!! Eventually Zynga will price themselves out of these types of games....You want money Zynga then get if from your poker games and stop taking the fun out of these ones, because if people aren't having fun, they will just stop playing.

I completely agree with alishacoffe@2345. The price they are asking for the backgrounds is absolutely ABSURD and definitely displays absolute GREED on the part of the company. It is my understanding that they have 30 million customers. If they charged a reasonable price of 5 or 10 f/c it seems to me they would make a lot more money. Though, seriously I also agree that these backgrounds are not worth any amount of farm cash. Indeed they could be designed by a 5 year old. If they want cash for backgrounds, I could see it if there was all kinds of fancy artwork in graphics. Btw, I use to do graphics all the time online for people and my graphics were much more impressive then these backgrounds and I got everything for free online, I only had to credit the artist. I too love the game but am seeing a trend that Zynga is getting incredibly greedy and charging prices that are completely over the top. I certainly understand that companies have to make money to continue to be in business but come on now, 180 f/c for an expansion?!!! 50 f/c for these ridiculous backgrounds?!! and now in order to get some of the better horses you have to just throw out a few hundred farm cash in a mystery game getting a bunch of junk you don't want and don't have room for b/c you won't pay the crazy price they want for an expansion?!! It is really getting absurd!
