At a time when so many are quitting FV and those that are still playing have trouble sharing/posting, I think it is just WRONG that the requirements for the quest have become so high, and keep getting higher. I am home all day so I can prowl the feed for what I need but many people are not; I see them NOW posting multiple times for quest items, among other things. Are they so unsophisticated in the business sense at Zynga that they do not realize they are burying themselves with their strategy? People will continue to quit out of disgust/frustration rather than spend cash to finish a quest, unless they ignore it completely, which more and more folks seem to be doing.

Amen! I totally agree and could not have said this any better!

Anonymous said...

You are totally right!!! No more words needed!!

Anonymous said...

The quest items expire so quickly! It's hard to collect them and I hate begging for so many things!!

Anonymous said...

Totally agree. Not able to complete the quests in the time period, by the time you are in the 4th or 5th level the quest is over. There are other things to do than play farmville all day long. The quests should be simple and the collecting items can be limited to 3 or 4.

And the quests are getting really tough and too soon a new quest appears really losing interest.

watch out because when you finish quest 2 on here, your not get the reward. I didn't get and another person didn't also. goes right to 3 without giving the reward for doing it

I was all planted and planned on doing it a second time and didn't get the option to replay :-( oh well....................

They need to make the quests a little easier and give better rewards. Also, there should only be one quest ata time for each farm. I do not have the time to do all 5 farms, I do have a life outside of FV, I am very close to quitting the game altogether. They took a nice, relaxing game and made it into a chore that you have to schedule your life around.

the reward was 3 farmhands and they just go into your gift box.

I totally agree with you all, it's not fun any more, too much begging for items you need and not enough time to finish.I started a new quest the other day and within 10 minutes it posted that I had less than 2 hours to finish it. made me mad. I'm ready to just quit all the farmville games

I'm with you in the sense that the quests seem to be ending faster. I'm not having as much trouble as some of you though. Maybe because I've been in the game a bit longer and my "neighbors" have been playing with me and each other, for nearly 4 years now.
We communicate with each other OUTSIDE the game, help each other out, give tips and especially, we ROUTINELY try to visit each others farms. I have had newer neighbors that NEVER helped me out with a barn raising. I've well over 50 neighbors. There is NO reason for me to take 3 days to increase my chicken coop. I've done "house cleaning" before and will do so again. Dropping excess baggage that want me to help THEM out without reciprocating! I suggest you do the same. Go to your neighbor's farm and post a message. "I needed help with _____, where were you?", or,
Let your "Good" neighbors know they're appreciated." Nice job on the Farm. Need help, give me a shout!" Foster good relationships with your neighbors, just like you do with your REAL neighbors. In the time it took some of you to write on this blog, you could have fostered better relationships with people that you rely on. Quit bitching. PLAY the game.

i think its prety bad when they have u doing these quest in the 10 days but u dont realize it cannot b done in the time frame unless u pay 2 pass a few (( like 4 instance when it takes either the trees, crops, 0r animals 2 dayz 2 grow .How is that possible 2 finish ?? Its like u have 2 pay w fv cash 2 pass by a few in order 2 finish .Im sorry but its just a game and im not wanting 2 spend my hard earned cash on it . !!!! It started out for fun now its like a 2nd job!!!

If you put animals in their breeding pens thye don't take the full 2 days to grow, they will only take 1 day. Or, if you put them in a pen that is ready to be harvested it will take it back to 96% ready, and then you can harvest it within a few hours. Also, if you put trees in an orchard that is ready to harvest you will be able to harvest the orchard (and the required tree) immediately. For this reason I have 5 of each type of breeding pen (livestock, wildlife habitat, paddock, pasture, playpen etc) on one of my farms and I put all animals related to quest completions in these pens to speed things up (I have 5 pens to help out with quests that require animal mastery).

C'mon people... Do you want to know how to do the quests? You already got this app to indicate you what to be done so the rest is easy... You have to get a horse to grow to level 1? Make 2 or 3 paddocks... You have squash to plant? either start it early or chosse another kind of squash that the result is the same, but you can harvest in 8 or 12 hours...
The one thing i agree is that the game have so many "ingame" issues that they should pay more attention to that, and neighbors are very important. You miss the materials to do the things? exchange mistery boxes with neighbors. You have 5 farms to do what ever you want to do, but if you play to have a lovelly farm with lots of space waistend, its up to you. Grow animals and trees and crops, even when you finish them and earn big money. I agree with having the daily players as neighbors and people usually get tired of playing, so clean uo the neighbors once in a while and post that you need new neighbors... I've stoped playing this for almost a year but with good neighbors and a good strategy you can do quests big time, and get the main feed always, with or without help from apps, because thats the big diference between a good player and a exceptional player... And enjoy the game above all

I've pretty much weaned myself off FV now and went back to my first farm game I played when I came to FB and that is FarmTown (FT). There's no pressure there and its a fun game plus there is a chat box to boot and so much more. Only things I'm doing in FV is getting the remaining stuff build. Not doing much crop growing nor harvesting. Way too MANY babies. Enuf I say... the 12 day quest sucks as I'm on number 8 with three days remaining to finish?????? uggghhh

I have worked to hard on all my farms to give up now...........If you think your farm through then its not so bad but if you play like I play you have to plan ahead for everything some of the quest can be done on more then 1 farm so if you hae acrop that is growing for lets see #3 of a quest and #4 has a crop that takes a bit longer to grow for 4 then plant it on another farm except if its stuck on a certain farm and you can't grow it anywhere else then you just have to wait......same with an animal if you want to harvest it right away say a horse cow whatever wait for the cow pasture or paddock to be ready to harvest when its ready put that cow or horse inside it it will go down to 96% come back about an hr later and check to see if its ready to harvest again and harvest it there your done with that everything that I have been doing on my farms from day one I have hunted and recieved from friends or got off my wall and it is true stop with all these babies please give us a choice to have them or not they may not be real but good god people put a stop button on them please now if you need any help look me up carol bradley on facebook and I'll be glad to lend you a hand

I agree, and do the same thing as Carol Bradley. I check on this site to plan a head for the quests. But I am also getting sick of the quests, and might stop doing them. I'm not doing the clover quest one. I have put a lot of time and work into my farms, and don't want to give them up. But this begging for help all the time gets old. I have plenty of fv neighbors to get the help that I need, but there are people that don't have many people to help with the requests. It's not fair to them.

I love my FT farm too. I agree that while some of the quests are getting ridiculous, you don't HAVE to do them. For those of you who "hate to beg" your neighbors are in the same boat, and understand completely so stop feeling that way.
I would have to say FV is for "type A " personalities. i do enjoy it (have been playing since the first week). But for peace and joy, i go to FT.
If you are letting this or any game run your life....walk away!!

Good luck

I've completed quest before time and i haven't ever been given option to repeat them again!! What gives? Also the mini cove quest is a pain!!

Anonymous said...

i agree!!!! my thing is i can get the request items done but it days days to get the crops done......i wish they would just leave them open till u finish them with no time limit and then when u finish one the next is there waiting for you. just an idea

I know I'm probably beating a dead horse posting this here, since I'm sure you've all heard this before. Please quit complaining about how hard Farmville is getting and telling Zynga how bad they suck. It is pure stupidity. In case you didn't realize this, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Zynga is a business, not a charity!! The entire purpose of a business is to make money. Zynga is getting really good at this by putting out more and more quests with less time to finish. They are doing their job. If you don't want to spend money to get extras, you don't have to. Ignore the quests, and just harvest your crops, trees, and animals to your hearts content. I don't hear people constantly complaining that any other form of entertainment isn't free. I don't really have a problem spending a few bucks here and there to get something that I really want for my farm. Considering how much time I've sunk into this game in the last couple of years, I consider it a bargain.

I am on the computer trying to get these timed quest complete way to much daily and still failing to complete in amount of time. I'm about to quit fv and right now i just say oh well it's only a dumb game that i pass way to much time on and as others say i do not like to beg for help and reposting and reposting to do so isn't right and i have good neighbors but they all have a life too and better things to do than play all day on f/b. Time limit's need to be extended for a longer period of time to give all a chance to get them.....
