A new limit to FarmVille items you are able to collect off your Facebook news feed has been introduced.
The new limit will allow you to collect up to 125 things from the Facebook news feed per day per user. Many of you have already started experiencing notifications as a result of the new limitation after attempting to collect a news feed item. This new limit was introduced to lower the effectiveness of the illegal snagging of FarmVille news feed items by snag bar and other apps such as Gamer’s Unite and FarmVille Snag Bar that automatically collect farming rewards for you. It impacts all available snag bars.
You may have noticed that it’s been a little difficult to score anything off your Facebook news feed and part of the reason is due to the amount of players using snag tools to suck up all your free FarmVille news feed items way before you even have a chance to click. While this new limitation certainly levels the playing field, it will also directly affect all of you FarmVille Freak News Feed Stalkers! If you stalk your news feed all day scouring for free farmin’ goods you will also be limited to collecting 125 things per day from your Facebook news feed.

This very well may be the straw that breaks the camels back for me. FarmVille has been making it more and more difficult and frustrating to play lately. Putting a cap on the amount of things I can collect will have the same effect it’s had with other games, people will stop playing! It’s one of the main reasons I dislike Frontierville and don’t bother collecting stuff for it.
It’s unfair that we’ve spent all this time building up a good list, of 300 neighbors and now I can’t even collect something from each of them a day! What about all the water? I grow 10 trees a day, so if my friends want those 10 watering cans, and a few of the trees, they’ve now used up 10% of their daily collect limit?! I’m sorry FV, but this is a terrible move. there are SO many items to click on, being limited is just going to piss off your very loyal gamers. Lately I’ve been regretting the $ I’ve spent on FarmCash, now even more so! I highly suggest you reconsider this change, or many of the long time players are just gonna give up and leave.
I just searched the actual farmville forums and found nothing from them on imposing a limit. Where is everyone getting this information? Is there a link to the actual statement from Zynga regarding this?

So I think that's not good, that are far too few, especially if you build something, or collects, such as the Holiday Gifts, so now come the Collects Valentines. This is how Farmville no fun. Why would they impose this limit, today, when they issue a Valentine castle which needs multiple parts. No warning, just cuts us off COLD! That's what you get for being faithful players. This will certainly cause me to rethink whether it's worth my time to play this game again.

I think its a good idea to limit, it makes it fair for everyone then to have a chance at getting stuff from FV feeds, so many times things have gone within seconds because people are using the snag bars, its not fair on the rest of us who actually play the game properly

I allready got this message on midday that i can t collect anymore gifts for today. I was not understanding it , i ve search my PC for a virus, but it s free , i hae a programm . I, personally, have the gamers unite bar, and I can get stuff faster by going to the wall, than with this bar, perhaps all of you that don't have it should try it before you badmouth it. I dont use it, I enjoy reading the game hints ect on the site. If more players would help each other, then noone would need anything. I personally try to help all i can, but when i need something i have to beg, and i have over 500 friends on my list. To limit us on what we can grab is certainly going to limit how much help we do give others and how we play. Many people have much dollars in this and many of the games, this is NOT fair to those people and to those of us that cant afford to buy stuff. Let the games go as they are, spend your efforts, Zynga, into making these games work as well as they are able to so we stop having all the problems, This is more important than being limited per day. I agree Frontierville is a great example. I know many people that have quit that game because of the limitations. Please Zynga, rethink this carefully.
I have spent a lot of my own personal money building my farm and now Zinga want us to spend even more. Read between the lines everybody, the only way we will be able to finish buildings, get animals, trees etc is to buy them with FV cash - let's unite in this and stop spending our own money, then they may have to rethink. Surely with all this technology they should be able to delete the snag bar set ups!!!!
Why is it they can't come up with a way to disable these 'snag bars' or whatever it is people are using to cheat? For sure there has to be some pc geek up there that can do something!!! I disagree with this daily limit placed on me. I was having so much fun just playing,sending items to my neighbors that they request because it was the 'neighborly' thing to do. With these types of requests I am not going to want to use up my daily limit!!! So now what is the point of having neighbors?? This IS ridiculous!!So the cheaters are there.....they are everywhere. Find a way to limit them without affecting the rest of us who play the game fairly. Part of the fun is building friendships and helping one another out, which is mostly done on the news feed. The majority of us enjoy the hunt, the giving, the breeding, etc. This limit ruins the functionality of the game and weakens one of its strong points. Zynga stop! You won't increase the storage limit and yet expect us to spend more farm cash to put items where? Now this?! The limits to how much we will tolerate are being pushed. I play FV like 8-10h a day and it´s still not enough. even of the limit set, there´s still enough stuff to go through in FV and I would be happy if I have time left to sleep (hey, I´m working too). too much to claim anyway, building materials, trees, watering cans, 100xp´s... neverending job and we complain anyway. well, my opinion, no one is forced to play these games. if this limits my playtime in FV, so be it. maybe I finally can harvest my appartment from all the dirty clothes and dishes I seeded around.

I am one of the people that playes this game the old fashion way as did not and never will use an snag Bar or even the FarmVille Game Bar that you did make and place on this game in order to get your bounces faster and easier, as I am an type of person that like to collect what ever I was wishing for the old fashion way, by being on the sight, new Feed, setting up my neighbor that played an lot , so I can go onto the new feed and see it I can collect what I need, I there are many others out there that are like me, so why should we be punished for others that are using tools to get more items all at ones,why not just punish them, there are times that i have more time to play on the sight I will not be able to as in an blink of an eyes I can use all my 125 news feeds up in no time, then I would not have anything else to do that day in this game, and like many in here I do buy FC when I can but thinking I will no longer as I should not be punished for what others did or are doing, man this is must like in real life the ones that play fair still get and slap in the hand for those that do not why should the VT world be in different from the Real world on how to punish the ones that cheat or are greedy. this is totally wrong!!! there are links available to detect who is using the "cheat" apps. if zynga wants them, we will be glad to furnish those. the rest of us are being penalized for our dedication to this game.. so, zynga doesn't want us to play their game??? if some of us who play this game daily are going to be treated as disposable players then it may be time to look for other sites that will be more appreciative of dedicated players......

This is wrong, wrong, WRONG. If your intention is to limit snag bar users, then remove the ability of people to USE snag bars on the game! I - and all my neighbors - are very cautious about who our neighbors are. We don't ACCEPT snag bar users as neighbors! So you're punishing the "legal" user who trolls the feeds BY HAND looking for that special something - or tens of somethings in the case of water needed for our seedlings - to make our experience a little nicer. You're removing the last of the joy from the game. At level 102, I'm ready to pack it in. Be prepared to lose a LOT of players with this move; I've already heard from some of my neighbors that they're done.
I couldn't agree more... They should look for a way to disable the use of SNAG BAR to be fair to everybody and not to limit the number of items you can get on the news feed. Its unfair to people like us who plays fairly...
I disagree with the new cap rule on Farmville on getting only 125 gifts. The best way is go back to the original and collect unlimited gifts, and strictly enforce all the cheaters and ban them from playing Farmville. Give the cheaters 24 hour notice to get rid of Gamer's Unite and the other cheat sites. FV ought to get rid of the snag bar.

That's not fair. 125 items per day are not enough. I'm a beginner and so I must claim items to level up. On this way I think I stop the game and better play Farmarama!!!
This is just not on, I play fairly and am now to be punished for just that 125 items when Farmville keeps bringing in things to build, is a joke and Zynga will be losing thousands of loyal players, maybe that is what they want, they only want to keep the players who keep buying their farm cash, really not fair time to find another site that does not restrict players.
personally...doesn't affect me one way or another. never noticed who used the snag bar except when I tried to claim those special items gone in 2 seconds...flat...that to me is where the real frustration was...I don't claim 125 items a day in farmville or try to claim "EVERYTHING" just sometimes would wish a little easier to get a "special" item once in a while more, not every thousand clicks!

If you need materials to build, use your special delivery crates to get them. Its the easiest and quickest way to build ANYTHING on FV. STOP BEING LAZY AND USING CHEAT PRODUCTS LIKE SNAGBARS! THEY ARE ONLY FOR LAZY CHEATERS!
This only encourages snagbars. The non daily player will use them now to make sure they get the 125 items ...each day. There are programming ways to keep the snagbars off the game and you could do this tho a little more work involved. Are you not sure this is a storage problem and you save money by limiting your players games? More security and better programming is the answer not this. I play everyday. I am committed to helping my neighbors as they are to me...I tree farm. I LOVE This action and you have now limited me to 12 trees a day max and nothing else.....knowing well the things that we all have to do and enjoy take considerable actions on the feed. Tell us the truth...is this just a way to make more money off less play which is more like what you are doing? My goodness have you not made enough and could almost buy 3 small countries with the money you have made for charity?????? Haiti should have the finest schools in the world but not what I see on TV. Lets put more truth to the game and less greed ... YOu would think you would let us gift more and get more ..Less we get off feed more likely to spend FV cash....I think this is a profit deal from a nonprofit game. I have 300+ FV neighbours and friends surly if I post an "egg" (or whatever for that matter) it is NOT going to be available for all out there (or until you eventually decide to "click" on a post 20min after it was posted) Bottom line is YOU are TOO SLOW !!!! Get ALL the facts regarding the "snagbar" BEFORE you want to come and talk nonsense. I don't "SNAG" what I don't need !!!!!!! Even when I use my "snagbar" it only scans feeds every 1min !!! (To give you normal SLOW and uninformed people a chance of collecting something too.) O yes and the FV "Bonus" bar is EXACTLY the same as the GU "snagbar" !!! So if you have the one or the other its EXACTLY the same. The 125 feed limit regarding the seedlings/buildings is preposterous. These two items should be "cleared" so that a person would be able to collect more of them.
For the record I am a level 108 player and have been playing FV for more than 2 years now. I welcome the addition of GU to HELP me as I don't have the time to sit around all day to collect items from neighbours...
We can have 300 neighbourgs but we can get only 125 things of them!!! I think that 1:3 is not a good relation...
I use GU bar, and I have clicked off of feed before the bar snagged it. I have over 1100 friends, 98% of whom play Zynga games. I NEVER see a 1/8 of those posts. Not to mention the fact the Gamers United has NEVER received a letter from Zynga accusing them of cheating, etc. If they were cheating, wouldn't they be closed down?
The only people who complain and call the snag bar "cheating" are the ones who hear from someone else and NEVER tried it. Limiting us only slows us from moving ahead that much faster. They've already started this in Cityville and before with Frontierville. They can't come up with ideas, quests, etc. fast enough so they implement ways to slow us down.

It happened 2 me yesterday & i was totally fed up - i had a rare day 2 myself so decided 2 watch some films & do FV. I don't think it is fair at all, surely there must b another way 2 limit which doesn't affect genuine players.
I finished my farm...I am done. This is the straw that broke FV's back for me. I also went to their FB page and clicked "Unlike" to lower their popularity, and I encourage all who dislike this new "Rule" to do the same. I am finished with them til they undo this, and I had a huge, beautiful farm!

OK I have tried 2 of those to find out that they were showing the same bonusses that I was getting on my profile page with a slight delay, the only benefits were the access to older ones that were not seen & claimed by other players...
So I came back to using my profile page & alerts notifications.
I always sent thank you gifts, whenever the game allowed it, and got a lot in return ...
To me, the spirit of the game was : "To be succesfull, be noticed, help others, comunicate your needs, it will get back to you ..."
I think that those limitations are taking away that important social aspect from the game, peoples might limit their "takes" to their personal needs and abandon the helping or team part of the game, reducing at the same time communications, teasing or any other form of congratulations that we could send with hour help ...
I experienced, yesterday, the limitation messages to both sending/helping and collecting/receiving items ...
125 items is not much, and that limitation can be reach within an hour if you are minimally efficient and have a minimum of active neighbours.
The main difference I experienced was that I could collect goods from a few neighbours I couldn't before from my profile page even after a few seconds notification, but to me that benefit does not compensate for what is lost in the "spirit of the game". It is another frustration adding up to the multi "Out of sinc with server" messages in the middle of a job, to notice that you have to redo it again & that the only apearing difference after refresh & reload, is that someone has bought a bushel or goods from you while you were harvesting ... Like if the server could not add and substract goods from your inventory at the same time ???
In short, I hope, maybe hopelessly, that those limitations will be abandoned ...

I'm having hard time understanding why the "fair" players of this game are being punished for something that punishes us already. If the problem we are all having is that the "snag bar" users are grabbing the "goods" then why would limiting us be the answer? So we don't have a chance to grab the stuff we want because of the "cheaters" and now we are limited on what we are able to get..way to go Zynga a virtual oxymoron. Please remove the limit I would rather miss out on an item because of a "cheater" than miss out on everything because of a "helpful???" limit and from what I've read on here I am not alone on that opinion. Most of my newsfeed yesterday consisted of my friends/farmville neighbors sounding off about how upsetting this limit is. Well you asked for feedback, now that you've gotten it will you listen?
125 is not enough, especially with Cupid's Castle and other building projects, however, I'm also disgusted with the cheaters. Isn't there a way to disable the snag bars, so that everyone plays fair?
Well if thats what they want to do i have decided during the time i can not accept gifts from the feed ! I wont be spending my FV cash or coins Sorry Zynga Remove those who cheat and use the snagbar ! Who in the hell do they pay that makes these decisions ? Another unhappy player at this time.

Wow, lots of disgruntled players here. Anyone who shows up as using a cheat app/snag bar, is now automatically removed and blocked from my friends list. I so far have removed 78 cheaters, and asked another 78 players to join me. I dont need to use cheat apps, I dont even have a lot of time to get on the games, yet I can still get enough bits and pieces to be competitive in the games, now that the cheaters have been given the heave ho !!.Come on ZYNGA, It cant be that hard to weed out those using apps to cheat,OR are you making money out of the cheaters as well ???. Why not simply REMOVE any thing from the wall, once it has been claimed/expired ?that would speed up things a bit, tidy up an awful lot of clutter to boot.It must be really hard for those who choose to spend "real" $$ on games, only to have their choices limited by thos who use cheat apps.........
i think they are trying to fair to other as there are people how can get fast boardband or boardband at all due where they live.
I would be luck to get 125 from thousands of news feed a day I get.
At times I missed every time. It some times weeks gain that item I really want. (like foals and tree (still have one to go)).
When it comes water cans tht easy plant the seedling then open required amount of special delivery gift and they all become water cans. same when building projects happen.
I'm not cheat myself but have been playing for well over a year and learn the game as I have played it.
I don't buy FV cash as I can't aford to any then you add exchange rate as well. I'm too poor for that.
And I wish they would bar thous mislead cheat apps as well as they all a waste of time!!
You see why FarmVille had to do was stop any thous lock on feeds and allow people to cheat and gain every gift available to make it that way other genuire players like ourselves miss out any gift from feed a day!! (yes I have days like that went have been able any feed items it furstrating as there nothing available)

At LVL 175 I have been one of the above at one time or another and I don’t like this 125 limit!
I'm semi retired and I play 6 farms including my LVL 175 farm in two countries( pretty sad I know). First of all from a positive perspective (something sorely lacking in these post) snaging leaves folk time to breed and propagate trees for others, "trolling" is a way to stay in touch with folk and have fun and well some folk have to work so they are in and out so they don’t have the time to know what a troll or a snager are LOL!
What’s up with all this judgment every way off game play has a opposite, it's all opinion, chill! I like the post were the community of players screen who they play with so they are proactively playing on a like minded playing field.
Big Z really needs to loosen up and respect the 100 million plus players free will or at least be reasonable!!!! Really only 125 gifts is just silly, it takes 100 cans of water to make 10 trees the recent valentines day house was well over 100 parts, when a breeder like myself makes foal some 50 or so foal are offered which doesn’t include the 100 XP's awards, arborists or helping hands! As far as not being able to ever get anything off the wall well, I play with die hart FV Nuts, they hunt as do I so a lot of what appears to be gone in seconds is simply closed to the public yet today I got hours later rare calf’s I posted hours earlier on another account so I fear it’s a lot of sour grapes in most cases wall stalkers are on the rare that’s just a fact I know, I breed so I hear all the boo hooing when folk don’t get something, yet never say thank you when they do, isn’t that something?
So instead of looking at the player’s behavior why don’t we look at Big Z behavior example:
A 500 gift snow stallion, that you could only share one of, that causes its recipients to buy horses for FV Cash if they want to be a good breeders! It’s the equivalent of Kodak giving everyone a camera with no film ! Merry Christmas, NOT!!!
Or the increasingly larger amounts of parts and hoops to jump through to get a “free” item and once accomplished in the case of the latest valentines house it give a whooping 200 coin and a note that’s says not yet or a duck pound that tells us every day ducks coming soon, meanwhile you can get up too 5000 coin for visiting the gift shop (Model Farm) get it? In other words for no work at all you get more by just visiting their latest ploy to get you the shop!
Don’t believe the hype its not your neighbors its Big Z, that is making folk go to all these extremes to meet their outrageous requirements to get something done and then they have the audacity to lower the limit to get there lager demand for parts!
Do you think it’s just a bit suspicious that a game based on sharing is now limiting the sharing, HUNMMM maybe they want folk to have to turn on FV over and over to be exposed to their ads and stuff they want you to buy!
Just saying I think the Emperor has on no clothes! So he’s screaming look over there cause that the best way for us not to look at him!
I think that this is very wrong to set limits. The fairness of it all stinks. I guess I will quit playing as much and go to another game…SORRY FARMVILLE…..IT IS YOUR LOSS NOT MINE>>
you are only doing this because you have some really incapable people trying to keep the server on ..that's my only guess. I am loosing collection .. as a very active player .. I also think you are doing this to increase the FV buying .... I only know one thing..I don't need that much to get really pissed about it and QUIT PLAYING. and guess what ...I've got friends too...and my friends have too !! :)

this is stupid change .. I complained at how expensive alot of things were & how you can't get things unless you pay actual money for them & someone from Zynga told me, we spend what we can afford.. well now, so if I can afford to sit in front of my news feed all day to collect the free stuff as opposed to someone who can't because they are workin all day.. now where is that any different.. it doesn't level the playing field for anyone.. really Zynga, maybe you should fix the things that are WRONG and stop screwing up everything else...
i sat here and read all these comments about ppl using snag bars/or apps that auto collect and u complain. some of these apps also send out stuff when ppl ask for it, like someone asks for certain bushels and the app will send it to them for you. i would almost bet that the ppl that are using apps are playing not only farmville but mafia wars too. and if you have the 300 neighbor limit for farmville, and then you have over 2000 in your mafia not to mention maybe ur playing frontierville too. DO YOU KNOW HOW FAST YOUR FEED IS SCROLLING? AND we wont mention that maybe you have a job too where u are gone for 14 hrs a day. and then u come home and try to get all ur stuff done and did i mention sleep somewhere in there. I know maybe those kind of ppl should not play! sorry i just had to vent. but before u condemn someone get the whole story. if an app is sending as well as collecting how can u say that is cheating. is it cheating to send someone something they need when u are off doing something else. is it cheating to use an app that accepts and returns gifts? i say it frees you up to take care of other things.
this change is just stupid, like come on Zynga. the game was so much better before all the changes come into place, im just able to finally play Farmville again and now you hit me and everyone else with this change? its not fair, i hope alot of player quit and players stop spending their hard earned money and you have no choice but to remove Farmville forever!!!!

With the limit imposed on us now, we only need 10 high level neighbors. Thats all. The high level neighbors will have everything to share back and forth with each other. I have used the Gamers snagbar myself in the past and most of the time I had to go back a collect what it missed. While I was using the snagbar it made it easier for me to get collectables done so that I could get my gas, but I was able to return posts to the wall helping other people out. Those same people who call the snagbar users cheaters have no problem accepting the helpful links that were provided by Gamers. Those same people who complain and call other people cheaters are locking their posts to a select group of people, then turn around and say its not cheating because zynga allows us to do it. The limit was set by zynga because crybabies who only have a few friends are claiming that the snagbar is beating them to the posts. Never once does it cross their mind that the person posting probably has 1500+ neighbors, which is going to make getting that post pretty darn tough. Maybe Zynga should just state that until you have x amount of friends you arent allowed to play with the big boys. Personally I don't care whether or not someone has and uses the snagbar, I have used it in the past and I know what it is capable of doing or not doing. However I do take offense to people who post threats to remove someone as a neighbor just because a face shows up on a website as being a user of Gamers. Gamers will only work with Mozilla firefox, 99% of the time I use Google chrome, therefore not able to use the snagger. But Gamers does have one very nice little feature that I love and would be lost without. ONE-CLICK GIFT COLLECTING! Those are the gifts that people send out by the hundreds daily and they show up on my home page under game requests. Makes collecting those gifts so much easier and much less time consuming. Zynga should have one of their own! (for the record, when I receive those threats from people, I delete them and block them) Furthermore, the act of those people who complain and post the threats to remove users on the wall are making even more people aware that it is out there and then those people go get it. lol Farmvlle used to be fun but now it has turned into nights of bitching, complaining and fighting. Many people have already quit and many more will with these new limits. Heck, I myself am imposed with another limit, I can only collect 8 posts and hour, then I have to wait and watch all the goodies pass me by. Just because I am able to click on numerous posts, they claim I am a snagbar. Just a little trick I learned, right click, select open in new tab, go to next post, do the same thing, when you have about 20 tabs across the top, start closing them as you have more than likely collected it. lmao works like a charm until this new secondary limit of 8 per hour. Thats not cheating, that's just smart clicking. What would become of this game is nobody shared anything to the wall? What would become of the game if nobody played it for 1 full week? Zynga would either shut her down or give in to our demands.
Another thought, barn stuffing, nursery stuffing, changing lost animal links, is that cheating? I have a lot of friends who are doing that, now they even have orchard stuffing. OMG!!
farmville have to start using there head they give us limit but then again they make have to get feed ,water,wood nail,bricks ect ect now how can we do all this if they can;t even use there head to fix the big problem they cause some people need this game to kill the day because they can;t do nothing and it keep them busy now farmville if you can read this have a heart and give our limit back you can;t give and take it away
this change is ridiculous.. instead of punishing those of u that PLAY,,..blcok the cheatinG !!!! i HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR A LONBG TIME, SEVERAL HOURS MOST DAYS BECUASE I AM DISABLED AND HOME A GREAT DEAL I FINALLY REACHED LEVEL 91, i ALWAYS TRY TO HELP MY NEIGHBORS, I NEVER STEAL ANYTHING, THE GAME HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY MORE EXPENSIVE TO GET THE GOOD STUFF, THE ADS ARE ANNOYING AND DISTRACT FROM THE GAEM... YOU RE FORGETTING WHO BUTTERS YOU BREAD.

I just started buying farm cash. And all I like to say is..it was my first card and my last. It is a no win thing. My gift box holds over 500 items..and I cant get more than 125. This was the first time I had been cut off. I have other friend and family that has. I thought they were getting 1000 of items..and its only 125? Wow that is so unreal..Im very shocked. I don't have a snag bar. The enjoyment of the game is moving up in it. And being creative. Now Im waiting for the next day. After working on my farm over night..what a waste of time for me. And so many others. Im only level 60. How in the world will I ever get to 100...lol. Think it is time to give this game up. I agree with other who believed that Zanga wants everyone to buy there nails, boards or what ever..Im not. And its sad to think that they believe all of us are so dumb that we start buying everything we need. I would bet a lot of faithful player will stop buying anything. Im glade I got cut off before I spent a lot of money as so many other has.
Yes! It is fair! Snagging bots take things and don't even let the people they got the items from know that it was taken. It leaves the posts there, but nothing for others to get! Sometimes things are gone within SECONDS OF BEING POSTED! If you are a serious player and not a LAZY CHEATER you wouldn't be using snagging bots but actually clicking on things yourself! If you don't get something, you don't get it! Tough! Just like the rest of us, take your chance that it's going to be there and let others get some of the good stuff once in a while.
I have the snag bar and NOT ashamed of it. There have been cheaters before the "snag bar" even came along.. I only snag what I need. If I have my 10 peach trees for example, I go to the pref. and uncheck that item. I don't even have farmhands and the tree harvester thingy checked (they cost farmcash). I have enough to last me, so why take more and have to sell them when someone else can have them? You think all of us that use it are just swiping everything. Sorry to burst your little bubbles, but that's not the case. I use it for very very few items and when I have enough I turn that item off.
Heres a thought... if you do not want everyone to see or have what you have posted, then simply go to privacy settings and choose who sees your posts and who dont. Quite simple really...
What you guys don't realize is that we aren't taking ALL the good stuff LOL. Some people unlike myself, take whatever they can get their little grubby hands on. But I however DO NOT. You guys need to harp on those news feed stalkers too because before the snag bar and Zynga Bar which is from the game makers themselves... When you did want something it was gone in 2 sec. anyway..
